A New Beginning

At last
I surrender
All of myself to You
That You may
Take Me
And use me as You will;
It hurts
To let go
Of things and people I cherish so much
But then
How else
Can I choose to follow You;
No more
Of seeking
Acceptance by the world
No more
Of wondering
What people will say;
I know
You want
All of me (or none of me)
Though it hurts
But remorselessly
I leave every to follow You;
I sow
My life
As a seed to You
In faith
That I will reap life
More abundantly;
As I take
Your Hand
To start this journey
I know
This new beginning
Is worth leaving behind everything.
